Sleeping arrangements.
This homestay consists of a total of 5 double bedded rooms, in which a maximum of 4 persons can be accommodated. The rooms are warm and cosy, with bamboo and wooden furnishings and minimalistic decor. The package includes all three meals of breakfast, lunch and dinner for the guests.
How to reach?
By road: Rinchenpong has a decent road network that connects it to a lot of areas. From Siliguri and Gangtok, both around 120 miles apart, buses, taxis, and shared jeeps are accessible.
For those coming from within Sikkim, Jorethang is the most convenient route to Rinchenpong. The route from Jorethang ascends to Soreng, then continues north to Kaluk, a settlement about 3 kilometres from Rinchenpong.
Another path starts near Legship in West Sikkim and takes 11 kilometres to reach Rinchenpong. This route is ideal for those travelling from Gangtok, Namchi, or Ravangla.
By air: The Bagdogra Airport in Siliguri, West Bengal, is the other closest airport. Rinchenpong is 130 kilometres from Bagdogra and can be reached in 5 hours by bus or taxi, both of which are readily available outside the airport.
By train: New Jalpaiguri Railway Station in Siliguri is the closest rail station to Rinchenpong. NJP runs trains to all of the country's major stations on a regular basis.
